Basics so far
We are nearing the tail end of this Basics series and I hope you have found it interesting and helpful!
So far, we have covered:
Values that will carry you along, on the journey to becoming more environmentally friendly.
How to celebrate and track your progress as you go.
What sustainability means and how to position yourself on the spectrum.
Zero Waste tool the 5 Rs and how it can move you along the sustainability spectrum (even if you’re not wanting to live a zero waste lifestyle).
Waste (one of my favourites - not waste itself but the topic). What is and isn’t waste, as well as reframing our relationship with our discards.
For the last three instalments of this series, I will be taking all the information we have covered above and applying it practically - to real life situations. Things like how to prep for being eco-friendly while out and about, how to shop more sustainably, and how to start making changes around your home.
By the end of this series, I am hoping you will have a solid foundation in the basics of eco-friendly living and feel empowered and positive about the choices that are available to you!
How are you feeling about it today?
Wherever you are at - take a deep breathe, in and out, and be proud of yourself for being up for this!
Let’s not rush. Change takes time.
Take some time to be grateful for where you are at right now and how far you’ve come. Maybe get out your progress tracker and review the changes you have already made. If you’ve not started a progress tracker, why not do that today?
Perhaps if you’ve not read the rest of the blogs in this series - go back and read through them. Then you’ll be ready for action, as we shift focus to purely practical topics, in the weeks to come!
